Our Board

9 to 5 for Christ is blessed with an amazing group of women who faithfully serve God and our organization in various capacities. Without their talents, vision, and leadership, 9 to 5 for Christ would surely not exist! Here is our roster of board members:

Penny Childers, Fellowshop Vendor Coordinator

Penny is retired from IRS, where her career focused on leadership and leadership training. Since leaving IRS, she has served as a volunteer, assistant director, and executive director of Samaritan Women, an organization that assists women who are coming out of jail and prison. The last five years Penny was heavily involved with Chapel of Grace, whose sole purpose was raising funds to build gardens and a sanctuary at Valley State Prison for Women. These were dedicated in May of 2011. She is now writing a series of books that tell the stories of women she has met through her work with prison ministries. Penny's passion in life is to inspire others to make a positive difference.

Cathy Ferguson is the Chief Executive Officer of the Girl Scouts of Central California South which serves five counties and over 13,000 girls. Her background includes University teaching, fund development, program development and administration of non-profits. She has coached swimming at all levels and is a past Olympic Champion. Cathy is a motivational speaker and travels throughout the country speaking on goal setting and achieving your dreams. Her current position allows her to fulfill her life's mission of helping young girls develop to their full potential by making good decisions. And, He has blessed the members and attendees in so many ways we will never know
